1. a person who speaks or writes in support or defense of a person, cause, etc. (usually fol. by of): an advocate of peace.
2. a person who pleads for or in behalf of another; intercessor.

We are looking for people who live or work in Oneida and Herkimer Counties to become advocates to help get the word out about the tobacco industry. We need people like you to tell their friends and neighbors about tobacco issues, write letters to the editor, and let local legislators know you care about tobacco issues. We also encourage people to volunteer to staff booths at various community events.
